Up-to-date Maps: Documentation

Overview

The Terramonitor Up-to-date Maps is a product designed for all users requiring easily accessible remote sensing imagery. The map layers are continuously updated during the growing season. This means that layers are generated by collecting cloudless and snow free imagery from various remote sensing sources to form seamless orthomosaic. It is the best possible collection of available data providing up-to-date and high resolution views of the earth.

Fusion

Fusion is an AI-powered combination of multisource remote sensing data as natural color (red, green, blue). It is produced by seeking the best available fusion of spatial, spectral, radiometric and temporal resolution. That's why the map in closer zoom levels might be older in order to provide better spatial resolution. If guaranteed up-to-date data is needed, then use Recent layer.

7-13: SENTINEL-2
14-20: Combination of different sources, including HERE and from some areas aerial images

Add-ons

Fusion-layer can be integrated with personal images from high resolution image sources. Read more about Image Services

Recent

Recent is a guaranteed up-to-date satellite map with a 10 m pixel resolution as natural color (red, green, blue).

Imagery of Recent layer

Recent uses Sentinel-2 images that are atmospherically corrected and radiometrically calibrated.

Recent IR

Recent IR is a guaranteed up-to-date satellite map with a 10 m pixel resolution as false color (near-infrared, red and green).

Imagery of Recent IR layer

Recent IR uses Sentinel-2 images that are atmospherically corrected and radiometrically calibrated.

Date

Up-to-date maps product includes date information which is partially transparent layer representing the acquisition date of imagery on Fusion, Recent and Recent IR layers.

Delivery

Maps

Terramonitor map layers may be viewed using a web browser or integrated to a GIS client. For integration, we offer map layers in widely supported WMS and WMTS protocols. The tile path of WMTS doubles as a TMS service. We also support CORS, meaning Terramonitor map layers may be integrated directly to third party web browser clients.
